To those who say for the third year, mini's should be abolished, I sort of see your point. But the problem is, well over half the community love them. To get rid of them would give anet a lot of bad rep.
A more sensible option would be to give a birthday present in addition to the one with minis inside. Then you can sell your minis and get gold + extra present, and the rest of us can enjoy our mini + extra present.
And to those who say, "I think it sucks that people make a profit off something most of the community never have access to", well, thats just a reward for said player's devotion to the game. If, say, you'd been working at a job for three years, and you'd been promoted to, say, executive director of the fish gutting floor (I really don't know why that popped into my head), would you not be pleased. And if you'd just joined "No Fish Guts, No Glory Inc." would you expect to go straight into the best job in the firm? No. I mean, it'll be three months for me, but I've enjoyed the game for all three of those years that I've played it, and I think its awesome that the dev team reward us for sticking by the beast we call guild wars, no matter how small or large the reward. Not every MMO team does that.

3 effing years and they can't give a choice or something? I've never gotten anything but a white rarity mini pet. That means the good ones will probably be rare, and I'll have to grind up on ecto now to enjoy my "birthday present."

I am saddened that almost directly after my post two people gave bad rep to minipets. Then I remembered nobody reads anything but the OP on forums.

(The other was sort of justified. I mean, I know how never getting anything but whites feels myself, but I still like 'em)

It's hard to believe when I posted a thread about my predictions that every single one was wrong.

Well i'm somewhat disapointed, but i'm also happy to see some of them in there. I figured 3rd year would be as will 4th most likey too. Anet is spending most of there time on GW2 prob, and Alpha testing. Anywho can't wait till i get my 3rd year even if it around June/July....As for the people who don't like mini's, not much i can say other then don't buy them.

Firstly: If you dont like minipets dont buy them
Secondly: If you think it's unfair that someone gets a rare pet and you always get a white one well sorry but thats life maybe you should live in the real world

White rabbit sounds cool although I will be annoyed if they release any rare pets e.g. shiroken, zhed as we dont have any real rare items anymore

theres sure alot of whining. there could be better mini's, yeah but there has to be balance.

besides if you don't like mini's then the mini can be sold ,so your more or less getting free plat.
btw if you think they'd be somthing better then mini's voice your opinions, i rather like mini's so im happy enough
